[OUTDATED] Extreme Medium and Realistic Damage Mod 1.2

Login or Register an account to download this content
Simulation damage not enough? Try this damage mod which aims to have more exciting races while keeping it somewhat realistic!

Idea fully copied from StrongestFish but when asked if they would make this mod for f1 22 they responded with "I won't. Feel free to make and upload your own version"

Don't need to credit me in any videos or anything just don't reupload a blatant copy of the mod to here or somewhere else claiming you made it. Thanks

Installation instructions:

Playing with normal liveries? Use the copy and paste method as shown below:
Step 1: Install mod from the red download button above and find it in your downloads folder.

Step 2: Unzip the folder to a desired location on your computer.

Step 3: Open the folder and open 'Copy Paste' inside it.

Step 4: Copy the 2022_asset_groups folder into your F1 22 Game directory and make sure you click replace files when it asks which should be located at:
C:\Steam\steamapps\common\F1 22

If it isn't there then enter Steam library, right click on F1 22, hover over manage and then click browse local files

Step 5: You are done.

Playing with custom liveries? Use the XML File method shown below:

Step 1: Ensure Ego ERP Archiver 9.0.0 is installed. Refer to guide below for full, proper installation and removal of the old version.

Step 2: Go to F1 22 Game directory at:
C:\Steam\steamapps\common\F1 22\2022_asset_groups\f1_2022_vehicle_package\teams

If it isn't located here then
enter Steam library, right click on F1 22, hover over manage and then click browse local files and then go 2022_asset_groups, f1_2022_vehicle_package, teams

Step 3: Open any team in this folder i.e. ferrari then open wep and open ferrari.erp with Ego ERP Archiver 9.0.0 Make sure it says 9.0.0 at the top of Ego ERP Archiver when you open the .erp file otherwise your game will crash. If you are confused then refer to the guide below this one.

Step 4: Click the XML Files tab and there should be one file named something like: ferrari!!!!temp000.vtf
Select it by left clicking on it once and then click the Xml files tab at the very top and select 'import'.

Step 5: This should open up a new tab where you need to find and open the Realistic Damage mod folder that you downloaded and open XML Files within it. Then click on ferrari!!!!temp000.vtf and select open.

Step 6: In Ego ERP Archiver, select File > Save and it will open a new window where you click save again and then 'yes' on the popup. Now close Ego ERP Archiver

Step 7: Unfortunately you need to repeat this for every team including the FOM car and the MyTeam engine suppliers.

Why is this so complicated?

If you use the copy and paste method with custom liveries installed which are also stored in the .erp files, then the new .erp files being pasted in will overwrite them and give you the damage mod but not the skins.

How to fully remove Ego ERP Archiver 8.0.1 and install 9.0.0:

Step 1: Find where Ego ERP Archiver (I will refer to it as EEA from now on) is installed. This will probably be downloads or desktop or something.

Step 2: Delete it

Step 3: Install EEA 9.0.0 from the website and take note of where you installed/extracted it to.

Step 4: Right click on a .erp file and select 'open with' then 'look for another app on this PC' then find where EEA 9.0.0 .exe is and select it.

Step 5: Open a .erp file and check it says EEA 9.0.0 at the top.

How to uninstall?

Step 1: Open steam and right click on F1 22

Step 2: Select properties > local files > validate integrity of game files

Step 3: Wait a little bit until it's done.

still works perfect
THE BEST MOD. MANY CRASHES EVERYWHERE. Just one question. How do i combine the mod with other mods like the Realism Mod or the Fixed AI Acceleration mod? Because i really want to mix it with other mods so i can be more fun

Hi mate, you need to edit the XML files yourself so find the edited lines for those two mods and have one XML file which has the correct edited lines to have my mod and the two other ones working. If you still want help then drop a message in the discussion section.
hello. the mod is great but i noticed that the front wing cannot be damaged if i hit a car with the middle/nose of the wing(realistic). For example i missed the braking pooint and rammed into bottas and nothing happenned to the front wing. Pls fix this, altough the mod is great
Great mod, makes races more interesting and exciting - however, I just ran a race on Mexico (36 laps) and only six drivers made it out without a DNF.

Car Damage set to Standard, and Car Damage Rate is reduced. Medium mod applied.

Other than that, amazing mod!

Hi there,
Sorry, the medium only came out today so it is kind of in a testing state. It is hard to judge without a lot of testing and changing of numbers how much the cars will crash. That being said I recommend medium for 25% races and realistic for 50-100% (a track like mexico should only get about 4-5 DNFs not counting engine failures) but I will look at it and see what changes I can make. Thanks for the feedback though!
That's great! I'm passing the baton to you :)
Hi mate ! Thanks for your mod! You should try to do under 3 different versions. Extreme, medium and realistic. The extreme mod I often use for my content on YouTube which works very well! If you manage to do this where you barely touch and everything breaks, I'm a taker!

Ok mate I was planning on doing it very soon possibly even by the end of today. Thanks
Hello, This mod is really perfect but there are some problems hehe.
The AI are sometimes a bit stupid so they crash often so the races end up with 8 drivers...
If possible make the crashes less violent because finishing with 8 drivers is pretty annoying.
But otherwise very good mod thanks ;)

Ok I noticed this as well so I have been testing some different values to get a realistic amount of DNFs every race. An update will possibly be out at some point today. Thanks for the feedback!
