Presenting Mr. Alpem 1.1. The update is fully functional with the new AC 1.1 code update and DLC content! Featuring:
New weather modes
adjusted colors
reduced bloom
fixed glare
adjusted LED auras
cloud fixes
color saturation changes
The mod is a replacement for all stock AC weather categories. Currently, 4 weather options are ready including one new one:
Clear
Mid Clear (few clouds, distant)
Partly Clear (new! more clouds, closer)
Light Clouds
Each weather option has been adjusted according to photographs I have been taking over the past few months as new weather roles into my area. Each weather mode has been photographed with my HDR filer, which closely replicates what my HDR camera captures. Colors are meant to capture bright blues of the spring months, not the slight blue-grayness in the sky as the earth gets more distant from the sun.
I have adjusted and renamed the filters:
HDR bright
HDR rich
Mr. Alpem bright
Mr. Alpem rich
to better reflect what each does. HDR closely resembles my iphone and camera pictures, and Mr. Alpem replicates what I see with my eye as best I can approximate from day to day. The other cloudy and foggy weather options are on the way!
Due to recent news that Kunos plans to release a more advanced weather appearance system in the game, I have decided to release a tentative 1.03 update. More than likely, to accommodate sunny, cloudy, and rainy skies in AC, Kunos will implement massive changes to the .ini files, meaning further updates to this mod will be required. These updates are thus temporary, but should prove even better than 1.02 of this mod.
Included are changes to ppf saturation levels, better brightness adjustments between the sunny and overcast filter versions, as well as renamed filters as follows:
HDR sunny (photographic appearance)
HDR overcast
Mr. Alpem sunny (realistic appearance)
Mr. Alpem overcast
I have included a tentative overcast mod different than the previous one. It is based off old files I modified a long time ago before Kunos updated the .ini to include shadow and time of day changes, so when using the camera you will not be able to adjust zenith and other things like the sunny ini files. But the appearance was closer to real life so I decided to release it.
After many requests, I am updating the mod by including newly revised DoF features! Sadly, some of the really cool optimizations are not included in this update since they trigger a bug with the new AC update, causing enormous FPS loss during replay mode, and in the showrooms with DoF enabled. The new updates will be added once Kunos fixes the bug. Enjoy the bugfix and optimizations!
