Juho Hanninen is expected to be announced as the number one driver for the new Hyundai rally entry next season.

Currently, it is widely assumed that the Finn has been test driving Hyundai's i20 test car.

Hyundai have not yet confirmed the identity of any drivers, only revealing that none of them are from Korea.

Juho drove sporadically in the WRC, with Mitsubishi, Škoda, Citroen and Ford between 2006 and 2013. At his first outing of 2013, Hanninen finished fastest on Leg 2, SS9 with M-Sport.

Citroen is thought to be bringing Hanninen in for his home rally in August.

The 31-year-old drove a Škoda Fabia S2000 for Škoda Motorsport between 2008 and 2012 in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, finishing 1st in 2010 and 3rd in 2011 and 2012. Since leaving Škoda, Juho has driven on two occasions for M-Sport Ford, retiring in Monaco and finishing 6th in Sweden.

Other drivers rumoured to be in Hyundai's sights include 2009 IRC champ Kris Meeke, and 2012 WRC-2 driver Per-Gunnar Andersson. Also thought to be in consideration are Chris Atkinson, Thierry Neuville, Haydon Paddon and Kevin Abbring.
