AC Road Race: Ferrari 458@China Coast, Thu 18th January 2024

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
Yes, something weird going on there, I also had a drive through which put me a lap down and I was getting a blue flag from Han who was on the same lap when I took the penalty.
I also went cliff diving once but part from that really enjoyed the car, the track needs lots of respect but when you got the rhythm it felt very satisfying. Shame about the bug though.

Honestly I was afraid such kind of race could happen on this special, unknown track. No hard feelings though...

It would be cool to race this great car again in the future. I like the behavior and its very few setup options, which should make it a joy for many drivers. No need to hurry though, because I'm very short on time the next week's. Thank you very much Han for listening to the crowd.

Maybe, an easy car to drive will be better. Yes, it does drive nice but the lack of settings make it hard to tame and the understeer is hard to remove completely. Race car next time please for me if possible. Less chance of flying off a cliff maybe? ;)

I love the behavior. It's a road car without very much front grip, so there's not much trail braking possible. Just brake in a straight line until reaching the speed where you've got enough grip for cornering. But once it turns, you can use the throttle to assist steering. In addition you can slightly drift it into a corner but overdoing it, will make your brake distance longer, because of sacrificing too much grip for more cornering. I like this gamble.

And you can make good use of weight shifting when changing directions. I like this effect with cars like this one or the Alfa GTA or the Escort...

I'm my opinion this makes it interesting for racing. However I would also go for the more sporty S3 Version. I think it's at least as fast as the Porsche Cup or even faster...
