Possible to select strength for individual AI?

Hey all,
I am making a championship and want to select strength for each and every driver to make things interesting instead of the current blanket strength settings.

You can do it in Content Manager. I think you can also do it by manually editing the championsip files once you create it, but not sure about this.

Digging out this thread since I wonder if this is possible.
Yes, I have CM and already adjusted the individual strenght there for some drivers but after all I'm not really convinced that it works. So, is there another way to assign a certain strenght to individual drivers? Or a way to adjust a drivers car performance?
