Looking for Squoval v1.1 by Velo

I have it unfortunately I pack all my tracks to work with GME's

One of the downsides is text files ( and hidden files which many gmotor modders leave behind ) cause erratic behaviour with PnG Track Linker , OVGME and JSGME.

So I have to strip all those files so my copies are all incomplete.

Would not want to be accused of doing the wrong thing here, everything else I do is. :coffee:

Sent in PM other day to evertyone in thread.
Please don't share it public, it has the readme removed for reasons I outlined.
Soon enough someone will upload here with the readme ;)

---------------

Never understood why so many modders name readme readme :x3:
Like I said using GME and PnG Link Tool to load and activate track mods and/or any other mods there are things you need to do.

First untick "Hide protected operating system files " in windows explorer options
1. Get rid of text files with duplicated names or rename them all, good luck with that, I started and got sick of it by 100 tracks with at that time 900 to go ( as well still do the same for GTL, rF, PnG lol )
2. Remove all files left behind by Mac modders ( seeems most hide them so they can't see them but they go into their packages lol )
3. Remove all .store files
4. Remove all temp db files ( this is worse offender many gmotor mods will have this )

Basically if a protected file exists in a GME mod which is uninstalled it will leave behind a empty folder which can then cause issues with other mods.

All these thing should be done before a modder packs his stuff :coffee:

I also recommend to remove all tracks that are not packed normally and install those through other method.

Also don't listen to people tell you just use zips in OVGME.
This is okay for normal game addons BUT NOT sims.
For the very reasons I just showed you above ! lol
People just don't get, you infect everything the same.
You need to unzip and add folders to the GME mods.
Of course removing all the stuff I mentioned above as you go.

If you want to GME everything you must search every single zip file, car, track, misc, etc and let them repack would take eons.

Use Beyond Compare ( free version from BC site is fine)
Filter and search for all these and delete in one hit from 1,000 tracks.

Rant Over :coffee:
