Is it possible to add rf2 painting system on mods that dont use this system

Is it possible to add the "new" painting system to mod cars that arent using it?

Mod i am working on by default it is not using the livery editor..
So it is not possible to add chrome or goldish colors

The message i get is the livery editor is not avaible for this car or some thing very similair.

Tryed to copy the region templates out of one of the vanilla ones..

That worked offcourse.. made a car.json file just like the original ones have and a region.dds still i get the same message.

And my colors are now grey.. untill i remove the region.dds again

Goldish colors now turns out yellow some times even very lightish yellow and i could not add the metallic effect either i really like to get it to work that would make some skins come to live..

You would not be able to use the system if the mod is not set up for it. It isn't too difficult to set up if you have access to mod the mod. You would need to follow the instuctions here to edit the .veh, .gen and create the .json ("How to work with materials" section)
