Kunos have scanned the old abandoned oval and said they would make a track out of it I believe.

Not sure why one would scan the surface of a deteriorated race track as that misses the whole point of scanning imo. Unless they want us to virtually die driving in holes, obstacles, empty beer cans and what more.

Perhaps so, however what you do get from the scan would be precise locations and banking angle data. Of course there is no way to get scan data from 1966, but in its absence, it's the next best thing.

I don't mind a proper modelled track either as personally I couldn't care less if a track is scanned or handmade based on photos/film/blueprints

they said it will come someday but right now they can't do it since with the oval you will cross the start/finish line twice in one lap... And the timing doesn't support that yet.
