crash on launch

have had this issue intermittently for many versions, its something to do with my resolution and the config tool i think. almost every time i go to play, the config tool pops up with 800x600 as the resolution. i set it to 2560x1440 32 bit and press run and it crashes, here is the log file: https://mega.nz/#!1tNQmATb!ebSA1dgzWaKBRrJ1d9vdHUWl8bxnttFQwhgfPJ0pszk

can get it to work after some faffing around changing the resolution back and forth normally
