The statement from Digital Bros Financial confirms that the sequel to the legendary Assetto Corsa simulator will be released on PC in the spring of 2024, with the console versions not better defined but which will arrive in the "long term". Digital Bros - the parent company of Kunos and publisher 505 Games - published its results for the 2022-23 financial year on 27 September 2023, recording a net profit of €9.6 million for the group.
But it is the multiple mentions of Assetto Corsa 2 that whet the appetite of simracing enthusiasts, with the document stating that the game will arrive in the "next fiscal year", i.e. before July 2024 for the Italian company. The new information is in line with a previous report from Digital Bros which indicated that AC2 would arrive in spring 2024. The clarification this time is dedicated to the fact that the Q2 release window only concerns the PC version of the game.
Until now it had not been confirmed whether Assetto Corsa 2 would also be released on consoles, but given that the original title had a successful launch on the PlayStation and Xbox platforms - representing almost 40% of Assetto Corsa's sales, according to the co-founder of Kunos Marco Massarutto - seemed almost inevitable.
