AC race cancelled

Recently I've tried downloading some new mods, and implemented them manually. They show up in the game (i use the standard ui don't judge me), but when i try starting the session, it just stops and quits back to the launcher. It works for some mods, but not for some else, and I have no idea why that is. I believe they are installed correctly, as they show up in-game, but it won't launch. The mods do also have multiple reviews, so it works just fine for others.
