WRC 10 Release Dates on Nintendo Switch Confirmed

WRC 10 Switch Release Dates 01.jpg
KT Racing has confirmed the release dates for WRC 10 on Nintendo Switch.

Good news for those of us who like our rally sim racing on the go. KT Racing has announced the release dates for WRC 10 onto the Nintendo Switch console in select regions.
  • Europe - March 17th
  • America - March 29th
The initial Switch release will be somewhat limited, but there is plenty of content and multiple game modes to enjoy. On day 1, Switch players will get to enjoy the 2021 WRC roster and a large selection of historic cars over 120 stages spanning 14 locations. The excellent career mode in WRC 10 can also be enjoyed at launch, along with historic rally challenges to celebrate the 50 years of the World Rally Championship.

After the initial launch on Switch, KT Racing will be adding a number of features. Online events and leaderboards, rally clubs, co-driver mode, and online multiplayer modes have all been confirmed as post-launch updates.

The options for rally or circuit racing titles on the Nintendo Switch aren't extensive, so it's great to see the WRC series continue its presence on this console. If you own a Switch and are considering buying WRC 10, or have any other thoughts on this title, let us know in the comments below.

Hope this one turns out better than Art of Rally on Switch, which I deem unplayable...

The issue with WRC games on Switch, is they don't support force feedback for their racing wheelbase, so it features a bungee cord instead, which can be found on Hori's wheels.

Unlike the PC, PlayStation and Xbox versions, they do support force feedback (Depending on the wheelbase).

Wish they do a new Wave Race for the Switch or make the first one playable on it.

AND a new Diddy Kong Racing! always preferred that to Mario Kart.

Suprised this will be released on the switch... would love to see a new Wave Race or F-Zero too! :inlove:

For Codemasters' WRC 2023 game, I doubt this game will come to Nintendo Switch, just like how their F1 2021 and GRID Legends are both not getting ported to that console.

One of the worst things about the Switch when it comes to racing games is that the triggers are on/off switches not analog triggers, making fine control impossible for gas and brake.

I managed to find a controller with actual analog triggers for the Switch... and it's quite good. Too bad the racing games I have don't support analog input. :(

That means they have to use the driving assists including traction control, ABS and stability control.

Wow, which one is it? Even the official Switch Pro Controller doesn't have it lol (It's a fantastic controller otherwise though, robust and super-long battery life).

Exactly. With an analog trigger gamepad, I can easily manage without aids in WRC10 but if they're digital, you're just stuck with having to run with aids and be unable to have any hope of turning the car on the brake and throttle, which is such a key part of rally driving.

It's on my post (see link to review there), the Gulikit KingKong Pro (NS09). It also has an NFC reader for amiibo and motion control, like the official Pro controller from Nintendo. Check on Amazon coz is not always available (like a lot of hardware lately).

Ah yes. So this is where KT is putting their effort. Not fixing the game's major issues on existing platforms, but porting to a platform which makes little sense for a racing sim. Wonderful choice, KT.

(Sarcasm mode deactivated)

It's sad. Cause this title clearly has the bones to be a wonderful game, one of the better rally games we've ever had. But KT seem determined to squander that potential by not putting effort into polishing the game.
