An in-person final for a RaceRoom community sim racing competition will be held at Friedrichshafen’s Tuning World Bodensee event next month.

The Tuning World Bodensee (TWB) Community Cup 24 will take place in RaceRoom, with the top 12 drivers making it to an in-person LAN race at the car tuning fair.

With automotive enthusiast and presenter Sidney Hoffmann acting as an ambassador for the competition, entry is via an open time trial using the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany '23 car at the high-speed Salzburgring track.

The leaderboard is now live within RaceRoom (along with full terms and conditions), with entry closing on 5th May. From there, the top 12 drivers who can attend the TWB event on 11th May will take part in a two-race (Salzburgring and Hockenheimring) LAN final.

To the winner will go a KW Experience Day in Fichtenberg plus a coilover suspension kit, second place an Ascher-Racing McLaren Artura Sport Wheel - SC Version, third a Sidney Industries (aka Sidney Hoffmann)-related prize, while all finalists receive merchandise.

New RaceDroom Drifting Content Previewed

Alongside the competition, the simulators will be open to use for the public visiting the event, with two motion simulators also anticipated alongside the 12 used for the Cup.

Intriguingly, however, there is also a little surprise in store for RaceRoom fans.

“We will also have a Drift Simulator available where you can show off your drift skills on unreleased content,” reads the event’s forum post shared by the RaceRoom team.

Last month, fresh liveries for the Ferrari 296 GT3 and the Pau circuit were released as DLC for RaceRoom. Little is known about what the rest of 2024 may have in store for the KW Studios-developed simulation, but now it appears some form of sideways action could be on the way.

Let us know in the comments below what sort of drifting content you may like to see in RaceRoom.

Drift in RaceRoom? The E-Mustang SUV was interesting. If more and traditional drift machines hit the sim then this is great. I can't drift for squat but, I am all for it!

I'm with you Wilko:)...can't Drift at all:roflmao:...but appreciate those who have spent time to hone their skills learning car Set Ups etc etc.

I like to look at YT Videos of Drifting and there is a lot of them so choose to live vicariously through that:D

Raceroom and Drifting?....that's new....nice, expanding their horizons:thumbsup:
