The Friendly Development RACE 07 WTCC Series returns at RaceDepartment
Want to race WTCC cars in planned Racing Club events?
Want to race in clean, friendly, events with larger fields of fellow RaceDepartment Racing Club members?
Want the opportunity to race with the best RaceDepartment drivers, and learn from them how to improve your driving skills?
Are you new to on-line Racing and just wants to meet and race with other Racing Club members in a clean friendly environment?
Want to experience League style racing, but without the pressure of week-to-week results?
Well, here's your chance. Within RaceDepartment, we have a regular series designed just for this aim.
The spirit of this event should be familiar to many of our past participants, but for those who may not have raced with us, here are the key principles.
We want it to appeal to all drivers, but more importantly to attract the new commers and less experienced racers, who desire more training opportunities to learn about bigger field on-line racing, and the chance to mix with the experienced racers on a more friendly basis.
Hard core racers will be serviced by our Leagues, which remain as the heart of RD’s program, however, for the less experienced (or not so fast), these may be a bit intimidating. Many of us don't get much of an opportunity to mix with the top drivers in the League format, and so miss this excellent training opportunity. This could also be an opportunity for new members of the RD Racing Club to meet up and race with the experienced members, prior to joining the Leagues.
Two RaceDepartment.com servers are usually allocated for each event, depending on entry numbers. The program includes a one-hour practice period where our most experienced drivers are available to help with set-ups, driving lines, or any tips/help you might ask of them. TeamSpeak communication is available to further help in this training.
Events are primarily based on RACE 07 WTCC cars, but we occasionally throw in a couple of Mini, Caterham, WTCC87, F3000, FBMW, and Radicals events. We may occasionally include some variation in weather settings to aid the training objectives.
