I'm running Win 7 64bit and have been noticing for some time now that wmpnetwk.exe has been gobbling up memory and disc resources to such an extent that it causes RBR to just crawl. I had changed the settings in the services menu to make it's starting manual but that had little effect, it was always running and last night it was causing my sequential shifter not to down shift.The solution to the problem seems to just Disable wmpnetwk.exe in the services menue to stop it running altogether.
