Whats your favorite type of Cockpit?

If your like me you have been contemplating building a real race rig for a while now. but can't quite decide if you go with emulating a "race" style, cold, exposed scaffolding, no frills cockpit like this..

Or do you learn to sew and make a luxurious, All frills, plush leather and wood cockpit like this..

I have a bunch of cockpits both Sim and real on my Photobucket and you're all free to look there or search google to contribute ideas to what you think would make up a great sim cockpit!

For me its an easy decision, as I race in the cockpit, its got to be a functional race style. I'm already heading in this direction, so its just a case of finalising my wheel/dash/peddle mods etc and then start to build the final rig up!

Yeh, i`d go with race style too.

I mean, you dont go sunday driving in a racing game do you?

If I were going to try and reproduce a race cockpit it would probably be this one.

Only, I think I could build most of the parts better. And who labels a real race car with labels like that... fail.
