What's Coming Up In 2013?

We’re taking it to a whole new level at RaceDepartment in 2013. Expanding the quantity and the unparalleled quality of our club and league racing will continue to be our focus this year and long into the future. There will always be a place on the grid for licensed members of all skill levels, and this year will be no different. Furthermore, the imminent release of additional exciting sim racing platforms will further expand our league and club racing capabilities. Online racing in 2013 will be the best RaceDepartment has ever seen.

For those who prefer fun, casual online racing, we continue to provide an incomparable club racing experience across all major sim racing platforms. Currently we offer club racing on Race07, rFactor2, GT Legends, Game Stock Car, Netkar Pro and Richard Burns Rally, so there will always be an event available for those wishing to race in a competitive, but equally fun environment. With the much anticipated release of Assetto Corsa and Game Formula Truck in 2013, we will further expand our casual club racing to offer even more events to our members. To get started, simply apply for a RaceDepartment license, visit the forums of our supported club racing platforms, put your name down for an event and prepare to have some fun!

Kicking off the official league racing in 2013 will be the seventh season of the Mini Cooper Challenge. The championship will be decided by a one-off, 2.4 hour battle around the extraordinary Nordschleife circuit in Germany. Be sure to tune in to the live broadcast on the 26th of January for the epic championship decider. Following the crowning of our first champion in 2013, RaceDepartment’s Historic Club Series will shortly be in full swing using the GT Legends platform. The season will commence with a test event at Vairano and Magny-Cours National on the 29th of January, followed by 8 exhilarating rounds beginning on the 12th of February. From Jaguar E-Type’s to Shelby 350’s, it promises to be a fantastic season, with the championship culminating in a special 200km final round. Interested in competing? Sign Up Here. RaceDepartment’s World Series by Renault is also commencing shortly on the 16th of February at Mid Ohio. The second edition of the series will feature five rounds of compelling racing using the fabulous Renault Clio on rFactor 2. Further information can be found Here, and you can Sign Up Here.

We also have some big announcements for league racing in the very near future. Will we see the return of endurance racing on RaceDepartment? What is the future for the SimRacing Team Challenge? How long until RaceDepartment’s truck fans have a league of their own? What’s next for league racing on Game Stock Car? What else has been discussed but not yet revealed? Be sure to keep an eye on our front page and forums for all of your essential online racing news and announcements.

See you on track!
