Bought my first one at 15 for 800 dollars, a 1984 325es. Came with the 2.7l m20b27 with a rev limit of only 4500 rpms. That thing was like a desile motor.

Had the most fun i've ever had in a car in that thing. Some drifting action at the local airport.

They are great cars. Cake to work on and have plenty of aftermarket out there.

Wish I could snatch one for that cheap. My parents are paying for my car, but they have given me a budget for my first car. Unfortunately, an E30 doesn't fit within it. They are about $7,000-$14,000 for a good one. They said once I go to college though they'll get me a much better car. Maybe then I can get one .

A awesome condition would run 5k at the most for stock. I don't even see good turbo'd setups go for over 10k. Maybe a supercharged S52 swap in a late model.

But no way are those prices right.
