Dear mates,

After the permission, we are working on the conversion of some old cars from Virtua LM to rfactor2! We still have a lot of work to do, starting with DX11 compatibility! We have working on Jaguar XJR-12, porting all stuffs to rfactor 2. Following we'll have other cars from that package, such as XJR-14,Porsche Kremer, Brun C91, and so on! We are planing also to convert some IMSA cars, such as Nissan R92CP and Toyota Eagle MkIII.

We made some improvements on skins and models, and we hope we can share a primary version to you soon!

Hi Zuffenhausen, sorry for disappoint you, :( but at this moment we are only working on 90's Group C cars. It's a fantastic idea get that cars alive on rf2, however we have to talk to V-LM guys first!!

Anyway, we have a lot of work for now, around 12 cars to convert, and I hope you don't quit before our release! We are really working to have a good mod at the end!

Since I never had the 1990s cars in VLM, when you said "90's Group C", are we expecting the 3.5 era cars (Peugeot 905, Jaguar XJR-14, Merc C291, BRM, etc) as well - will we also get the WM P87/P88 of the infamous 400 km/h Mulsanne record fame, the numerous variations of the Porsche 962 including the 966, 962 DR2 and the 1988 Jim Busby car, the Spice, the Inteprid

Hi, you are right, 905, XJR-14, C291, CK6 are on the line! The IMSA cars are not in our plans right now! 1990/1991 and 1992 World Sportscar Championship will be partially cover for the first release!
 
Interesting, Make-Corp Group C Cars just updated massively in the workshop.

- DX9 car now retired by new version.
- All cars fully rebuilt, reworked and running to DX11 standard.
- All physics brought up to current standard and optimisations as well, more detail below for the guys.
- Motec display redone for the Mazda 787B to real car layout and new low fuel warning, thanks Damian.
- Oil Temp added in to the secondary display area in the Porsche cockpit.
- All materials have been fixed and adjusted and mesh quality increased in places to enhance the experience.
- All little things like external cameras clipping for example, looked into and corrected.
- We are optimised for night racing as well, but bear in mind that environment at night is not complete there yet .

- Only functionality missing is fully working wiper functionality currently, but rain support is included already.

- Engines now have three mixture positions.
- New Ultrachassis added with revised suspensions geometries/chassis flex.
- New CPM tyres with the latest options. Compounds have different grip and warming levels to match the different tracks.
- Reworked diffuser and relocated.
- Revised AI to match real driver behaviour as much as possible (variable from track to track) and improved performance in wet.
- Front and rear downforce from the bodywork revised.
- Clutch torque revised for shifter and pad options.
- Added engine power detail on garage.
- Damage revised.

Porsche 962

- WSC engine have a new turbo flow.
- Rear Goodyear tyres now uses 18 inch rims instead 19 inches.

- Updated engine brake torque, throttle maps, mixtures and softened turbo pressure build up.
- Reduced drag caused by rake.
- Added undertray points and improved collision detection and aerodynamics while flipping in the air.
- Updated tire construction materials and resolution (more flexible and detailed).
- Improved all tires thermodynamics, wear and grip for wet weather.
- Reduced rubbered path effect on tire grip.
- Reduced grass, dirt, and other terrain types effects on tire temperature.

You seem to be the only one who doesn't want it. You could at least explain why. I don't see anything wrong with their mod, tho this mod will probably be big enough to run on its own.

This group of cars indeed is enough to run on its own and will cover the necessary cars. There's no need to cater to a separate mod that was made by someone else. There are also plenty of comments regarding the other mod on other places but the crucis of the matter is there are noted discrepancies in emulated performance to real life counterparts, plus as you may also have seen elsewhere, excluding benefits to Mazda, balance of performance was not something that took place back then.

So this means there will be a C11 and 787B as well that we won't need Mak's version

...my idea of a full grid is the full house 106 cars on track even though very few tracks can accommodate that number without overflowing onto the pit straights plus my PC cannot handle this

So I don't know what is there in VLM but since you mentioned 1990, will there be any of the C2 cars (which became obsolete after 1990), the Lancia LC2, Nissan R89C (both used by privateers that year), Mazda 767, Cougar C24S, C26S, C28S, C30LM and C32LM; the lesser known or unraced Alfa Romeo SE 048SP, ROC 002, BRM P351, Allard J2X-C, Norma M6 and Eagle 700 (modified Corvette GTP). Also the Toyota TS010 and Mazda MXR-01
