Track Designing Competition

wanted to keep Tosa and Acque Minerali as those are the best corners of the track imo. got rid of the Yuji Ide-chicane to grant a better overtaking opportunity into Tosa, tightened the entry through piratella so if there's side by side action through Tosa it can continue towards Acque, then an Abu Dhabi-like stadium section moving onto the main straight, but instead of a tight annoying hairpin a banked corner á la Peraltada for that slingshot effect towards tamburello

Let's see if we can get this thing started again.

The Saudi Arabia GP is set to begin in 2021 on a yet-to-be-determined street circuit along the coastal area of Jeddah. This street circuit is to host the GP until the permanent Qiddiyah track is completed in 2023.

Design a street circuit in the vicinity of the Jeddah Water Front district and Al Kurnaysh Rd. Aim for roughly 5-6km in length, with at least one very nice straight for DRS use. The Start/Finish Line should have an adjacent area adequate for the Pit/Paddock buildings like Monaco has. Don't worry about having to move curbs, sidewalks, car parks, etc. This is Saudi Arabia, afterall, and they will have the cash to make this happen.

To be honest, there are quite a lot of decent, wide roads in Jeddah with big bends - or space for big bends - all over Jeddah, so if done correctly they could give us a decent track for racing. It's just a shame there's nothing unique like Monaco's hairpin section or the Castle section at Baku to make it an interesting street circuit, rather than just a race track with close walls.

You designed your track in the right place :roflmao:
I thought your track had too many corners too close to each other, but then I saw the actual track we've been given and it has even more corners even closer together.

Ah, if only the designers had read that sentence...

So what if we redesign trash tracks (F1 ones or whatever) to make them better...?
FFor example:

I've made this Sochi redesign with more powerful braking zones to make overtaking more interesting.
