One small thing I've just noticed on racenet.com: they say that the whole community has done 2230763906328 km on racetracks in total.
That's a pretty big number, isn't it? To put it into context: that is around 23% of a friggin' lightyear! 15 thousand more, than the distance between Earth and the Sun. Light in vacuum would need 86 days to cover it :O_o:

wow that is pretty big. there's like 2 million people or something who bought the game, so if each person who owns the game does only 10 laps that's already 20 million laps, so i can see how the numbers would rack up pretty quickly :)

If 2 million people bought the game that is 1115382 km per person, which assuming an average lap length of 5 km, is over 223,000 laps per person. Seems like way too much. Especially if this only counts online laps? I have put in about 10 online laps haha.

I think it's both online and offline, cause the game collects statistics for both game modes, so why not send them along with online stats.
And I'm pretty sure Codemasters wouldn't be too happy with just 2 mln copies sold on all platforms :p

    EDIT: Ok, F1 2010 sold in 2,05 mln copies while F1 2011 just 1,85 0_O

I think its just a script what you see on other racing sites sometimes as well to impress people. When the numbers get really ridiculous such widgets then all of a sudden disappear and never to be seen again.
