    Cheers Sean..

It looks good and drives great. Only problem is its a killer on FPS. I get loads of stutter and about 40fps.. All the others run at 60 easy... fingers crossed for a patch / update of some kind soon...

Agreed Paul. Great track but around the first turn it's the same way for me. They'll fix it. I had the same issue at Nurburgring, Slovakiaring, and Moscow and after one of the patches, no more issues.

  5. Hope for an optimization of the framerate.
Nobody can tell me that Shanghai is running with 60 fps around the pit area, even with an i7 and GTX 980.
To be honest, reduce settings can't be an alternative.
But at all the track is amazing.

I can, .. (see pics .. resized by 50% from originals)

This is running at 2560x1440 resolution, with all Video options set to their max values, .. with the exception of Motion Blur, .. which is set to Fast and Low.

System is a i7-3820 running at 4.2 Ghz, .. with a Gainward Phantom GTX 780 (353.06 drivers), .. on a 27" Dell U2713HM monitor. System is 2 years old now.

I get a consistent 60 FPS (VSync) around the Shanghai track, with 24 DTM 2013 cars (FPS hogs).

As I mentioned on the S3 forums, .. I was surprised at how smooth the Shanghai Circuit is, .. as I had seen some screenshots, videos etc., and had assumed, given all the detail etc., that it was gonna chew up the FPS.

Also why I disagreed with Paul's post .. i.e. "Only problem is its a killer on FPS" .. ;)

I hope that those suffering from FPS loss get it sorted out. :)

    Cheers
    Tom

@J-F Chardon made the following suggestions to try on our forums, if you suffer from low frame rate issues on Shanghai.

Smooth as silk for me but then I always run with reflections on low as that's been a known fps killer for a long time.

How much in real sterling lol not the game's play money

  16. Depends how much you paid for your vrp.

I bought in bulk so I think I get 20% off or more.

  17. I think it's about £4-5 quid.

Speaking of costs, the steam sale starts today. You know what would be nice? A discount on all the Raceroom content. That means I could afford the group 5 cars and WTCC content then. ;D

Ok, if you buy 500 vrp from their store that is 4.49Euro's, then at an exchange rate 1.38Euro x £1.
The price you will pay is £3.26 ;)

Not too bad then, less than a price of a pint.
