rFactor2: Corvette C6.R GT2 Released

Image Space Incorporated announced today, just in time for the weekend, that the newest addition to rFactor2, the Corvette C6.R GT2, has been unleashed upon the public. The Chevrolet Corvette C6.R GT2 is widely used in many GT series, predominantly the American Le Mans Series and, of course, the infamous 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Our community member Lee Ross included the C6.R, amongst many other cars, in one of his recent videos.

The C6.R is available for download here but Tim Wheatley also posted some words of caution and additional information.

This is an individual component, and represents how content should be released from now on. Per car, per track, etc. Old content, currently only available in rfmod packs, will also be released in the same way.

One thing to note with the C6.R is that you shouldn't get TOO comfortable. There is a new build coming that may alter it a tiny bit in (tire model) handling, but we wanted you to have something fun for the weekend anyway.

That new build is very close to release.

Very nervous car and quite tail happy. Actually I'd call it "snap happy". Very similar to the way the iRacing cars are driving these days, lose traction and next thing you know you have your nose perpendicular to the side barriers.
However, they said that the physics are still in development and not to get used to its current driving characteristics.
