Studio 397 have released a small build update to rFactor 2 in preparation for the upcoming NOLA Motorsports Park release.

Although only minior in nature, build update 3 for the version 1108 release of rFactor 2 has today been deployed via Steam and should download automatically when you next start your Steam client. It is worth noting that the new update does not add any new content or features apart from a fresh Thrustmaster TS-PC controller profile, and dedicated server hosts will not need to update their servers.

The new update build has been deployed in advance of the upcoming NOLA Motorsports Park track release, which is expected to be deployed as additional free content within the next few days.

    Build 1108 Update 3 Changelog:
    • Added Thrustmaster TS_PC controller profile
    • Added new shaders to the core to support latest track NOLA Motorsports Park

Stay tuned to RaceDepartment for more news with regards to the NOLA track release as and when it becomes available.

rFactor 2 is available right now for Windows PC exclusively on the Steam platform.

Can't help but chuckle at the promo shot for NOLA featuring IndyCars, I'm sure both the series and the track want to forget that race ever happened.

IIRC there were only a handful of laps run under green, and not all of them consecutively. It just chucked down rain the whole time and every time they'd try to go green there would almost instantly be a wreck. Effectively, the entire race was basically run under caution. Probably the most embarrassing race I've ever watched (not that either party was at fault, other than planning it in the middle of the rainy season).

Yeah unfortunately we won't see it at the calendar again. It had a nice layout.
At least we can still enjoy it :D

Yeah, nothing against the track or anything. I just can't help but think of that monsoon race whenever I hear it mentioned. :D

I said over on the official forum that we now have even more great kart layouts...but need an updated range of karts to go with them. This seems to confirm that in the world of karting, the NOLA track is at least on the global radar. The full-size track really is not. I will be celebrating the addition of the kart track much more than the similar-to-Palm Beach course.
