RF2 Online - Yellow Missing Textures

There used to be a line that you could edit in the player.json file. However, each time a new car joins you could experience a momentary lag as the server loads the skin. The yellow brick is a change from a yellow blob car that has been there for a decade and it's purpose is to eliminate any pauses when custom skins are loading.
However, I can't find that line of text. I wonder if the new Race Control requires the temp brick cars to keep the server performing smoothly.
 
You can assign a button to load them on track but as Dave said watch out for lag.
