After news of the latest FIA Super License points system was revealed earlier this week, Renault has immediately given it's response to the system by requesting to speak with the FIA about the ranking of their respective junior series.
Both the World Series by Renault and Formula Renault 2.0 series received poor ranking points in their opinion and want this to be ratified before the start of the 2016 season when this system comes into place.

Renault are upset that competing series such as GP2 or FIA F4/National F3 series have been given a higher prestige within the points system than their own series. This will therefore seriously threaten the grid sizes of both series as young drivers will bypass the various Formula Renault 2.0 series and World Series by Renault for these other series.
Considering the amount of money Renault have invested in both series they will want to rectify before the points system comes into place in 2016. Alongside requesting talks with the FIA Renault has contacted teams within both series stating "will take all the opportunities to defend our championships." This could be a long running story during 2015 as Renault and the FIA attempt to find a solution to this problem.
