'Real' mirrors not working in cockpit view?

Has anyone had this problem? I have just reinstalled the Simbin Race Series, everything works fine offline, including mirrors. But when I go online, the 'REAL' mirrors do not work, the cockpit mirror is just black. I can use virtual mirror, but I cannot get the 'real' view to work. When I exit the server and try an offline session, the mirror works again.
Any ideas, thanks?

This may seem silly but you do realise you cant have both working at the same time, you can turn it on or off in game but have to leave the session and change it in the options from Real to Virtual (sorry if you already knew this)

Yes thanks Rupe, I changed it in the options to 'Real' then tested it in an offline practice session, which was fine. Then I went to Multiplayer and the mirror was black. I couldn't switch it on with the '1' key. I then left and checked in offline practice again and it is working ok, so I cannot work out what is going on.
Maybe something just hasnt installed correclty, as it never used to do this.
