I gotta say, the use of superpole in pre-qualification baffles me. I thought the use for this event is to help sort the drivers into servers based on their pace, but with superpole, we might get some people out of place because something happened during their quali lap. Not to mention traffic. 60 people trying to set a time in one hour is going to be quite heavy.
May I know the reason why this method was chosen for pre qualifying?

You may. We don't want to manually go through hundreds/thousands of laps to see if they are valid. With SP we only need to check 60 hotlaps.

With or without super pole the chances are the same for everybody and it adds a lot tension too for the drivers

Correct me if im wrong @Bram , but with superpole you are alone on the track, so no traffic there.

We have done superpole preq in the past, just that event on its own is a blast

In pre-qualification for races we'll do our best to run in private mode. During the prequaly for the series it self for replay reasons we'll probably have to run in public mode though.

@Dennis Phelan kindly offered to run the RDTCC tracks in the racing club in the weeks prior to the actually league start so keep an eye out on those events

Yes, I will be running an event on the Thursday before pre-qualifying and each of the race events with our standard two race, reverse grid superpole qualifying format. We will be using the track to be used on that Saturday! a great chance to get experience on the track and with traffic!
