Maldonado, Petrov and Hamilton had a great start. But there was a confusion in McLaren team radio as Higgins told his drivers to use their DRS, while they don't have any. Heidfeld and Hulkenberg had a disappointing start.

Maldonado moves further ahead. Petrov tries to follow him. Hamilton loses momentum and his position. There is a huge traffic. Lots of drivers were capable of going faster, but because of the slower cars they are stucked. Button and Kovalainen stucked behind of Senna. In the back, Hamilton, Perez and Vettel are the traffic causers.
