MARTINS MASTERS RAIN
Rui Martins took his first pole as he perfectly timed a drying track at the Hungaroring. He lines up alongside home race man Laszlo Csako, with both men looking for maiden wins, this is a golden opportunity, Martins also looking for a first ever Cedars victory, while Csako can win at home in a Hungarian car too.
Daniel Harvey did nicely for 3rd, ahead of the surprise packet Matt Bailey, whose RD team also got the timing just right to see the Australian a long way up. Diehl and Sharp make up the 6, and with Sharp high up, it could be a good day for Falcon.
Jamie Cocks did well enough for 7th, within striking distance, while his teammate Bohner struggled to 12th. Sigoulakis, Said and Rinneaho finished the top 10.
Elsewhere surprises were Hunsley in 13th, Rautavaara in 15th, Utzer in 16th and the Speedys locking out Row 10.
Commentators Comments: Well the rain always makes an interesting session, and it bucketed it down early. We saw little movement before a late flurry of action, and it was Martins who rode that wave to pole. Csako has a great chance here I feel, but further back will be interesting, Sharp and Cocks both have some space to Bohner, with Said somewhere inbetween. For Utzer, his season could be defined this round, starting 16th he needs a result and he needs one soon.
