Yep, we are so used to getting things sent cheaply or zero cost from China. That we assume postage is cheap in the EU.
To privately sent something fully insured , even within the UK is expensive.
I will as you seem somewhat committed, find out how much from my end.
I can as I have done in the past. Wrap just the seat up to reduce size and weight.

the box is 92cmx60cmx80cm by the time it is packed comfortably within 20 KG.
if i pack just the seat only, wrapping with protection 92cmx65cmsx60cm probably around 15kg
price from the UK is still silly money, even if you can find someone, FedEx is the only one, and they refused at the smallest size i could pack it.
