RBR original game HELP

Hi guys I'm new to this forum and I'm not sure if this is in the right place but I'm sure one of you can help.

I used to have RBR on Disk but I had a few problems with my computer and lost everything and now when I install it it all seems normal until after the three intro movies instead of going on into the menu the screen just goes black although I can still hear the music.

I wonder i any of you guys know what it could be and how I can sort it?

PS I'm not great with computers!

Read Damien's post (#8) about Disable Desktop Composition, should do the trick.

Hmm thanks very much for the reply.. It fixed that first problem but now it just sort of closes after a few seconds or maybe a minute (slightly different each time)

Sounds like another Windows 7 classic to me.

I suggest you to take a look at a possible Data Execution Prevention (DEP) issue next. Read this: http://forum.rallyesim.fr/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=431

The Google Translate-ish instructions are written for RSRBR but don't let that bother you too much, because the same applies to original RBR. The only difference is that you don't have that many exe files in the install folder.
