Protests

#1 Karim Wezenberg - Martin Gosbee - T9 Lap 3

Protest: Wezenberg understeers out of the corner and hits Gosbee on the right side causing Gosbee to spin and hit the wall loosing his front wing.

Review: Wezenberg and Gosbee enter and exit the T8-T9 chicane complex virtually alongside. At the corner exit, Wezenberg's trajectory goes towards the car of Gosbee on the outside line, and consequently the cars make contact, forcing Gosbee to an unavoidable spin. Since Gosbee's car was already placed on the outside kerb, it is Wezenberg's responsibility to leave enough room on the inside to avoid contact. This did not happen, and hence Wezenberg is at fault. However, the director sees the incident as a mistake with an unlucky outcome, rather than anything of a deliberate move from Wezenberg's side.

Verdict: 1 penalty point to Wezenberg.
