Welcome to RaceDepartment's Racing Club for Project CARS! Project CARS can be played on various platforms: PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and we'd like to facilitate and encourage our members to post challenging casual events for members by members.

Platform Prefixes
We now use Prefixes (which you will be required to select when creating a new race (thread).

Setting up a race
First of all start with a plan. Post a thread not at the final moment before you want to race but open it a couple of days in advance. Official RD events are always scheduled a week in advance for the highest change on success.

Secondly order your threads properly and try to make it as simple as possible. Not everybody wants to read a wall of text with requirements. Keep it simple, easy and friend.

Contents of a racing club thread

• Select a prefix for your platform of choice.
• Thread Title: Car Class @ Track - Date
• Thread Content: Use the template that will be posted soon.

18:00 GMT / 19:00 BST / 20:00 is all the same. We use GMT as that timezone never changes and people can calculate their timezone pretty easy from it.

Tried two onlince races, both times pCars crasehd when switching sessions

I'm signed up for the event, but I too seem to be experiencing crashes when progressing from one session to the next - black screen. The game doesn't respond and I subsequently receive an error message. We'll see how it goes. If I suddenly vanish after, say, practice, that's why. I'll do my best to rejoin if that happens.

Yeah, just had my third try and it crashed during the session. Offline I have no issues, but in MP it crashes constantly. I will do a reboot later and give it another try, but not very satisfying for game with "gold" status...

I found out, that using 32Bit mode can solve the problem. Just did a race and it worked for me:

Make sure your steam overlay is disabled

Is anyone planning on pitting? I've worked out that my GT3 Ginetta can carry enough fuel for the race, but I have no idea about tyre wear. As this is a stress test would you like us to be pitting @Bram Hengeveld to check that works ok online too?

Come on guys! We start in 20 minutes from now and as posted before the server will be up by then.

This last minute sign out stuff we don't accept. If you sign up for something you make sure you be there at the right time and don't sign out 20 minutes before the start!
