No pedals !!!

I did a reconfigure of Assetto Corsa and a brand new install of Grand Prix Legends and have been having a hoot.
I thought I'd get my RF2 happy and i cannot get the pedals to work. They are OK in the setup pages but no pedals in the cockpit.
I'm sure that I must have missed something. Any ideas fellas?
It's a straight up G27 with the ricmotek load cell that works a treat in the prior mentioned titles.
Frustrating. I'm sure there's a button I didn't click or a checkbox unchecked.

did you ASSIGN gas/brake/clutch? Did you then CALIBRATE them?

They work in the setup screen and I can map the controls and buttons but in the car SFA

Sorry to keep taking baby steps, but are you turning the engine on once you click DRIVE?
You should have keys assigned for the ignition(power) and the starter.

@ problems fixed it
One was the sound input was switched to another device so there was no sound to hear the engine and I didn't have autostart enabled.
Thank you for your input.
I got a chance to study the configuration in depth so I'm more in control now.
