Found this quote from the developers of rFactor2.

Wish it was Friday but I am just planning for a test build (make sure everything fits together) for this week. It is highly unlikely we will have something on Friday... but we are working on the next update. I have no clue when it will be ready. Working on it pretty hard though.

So, it will not be this week, but the way I read it, the update is near again Already curious in what will be addressed.

What are the wishes that should be in this update?

hopefully wet weather will be fully implemented as well as fully dynamic track

i've been in several leagues that have used rain and i think it produces great racing(just look at atcc vitus). i've even raced in the rain in an rfactor league so i'd hardly say leagues shun it.

It's a shame that rain is not a random feature based upon real track weather history. Whereupon dark sky doesn't necessarily mean rain and where rain may only effect part of the track dependant on wind direction.

The beta was announced in january and was going to last for around six months. So around July / August rF2 gold should be out I think.

Hmmm...

Like rF2 was going to come out in 2010? Then delays through 2011, then by the end of 2011? Then finally in Jan 2012 we got a Beta.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating. I'm excited for what this sim will be. I just know how unpredictable SW development is and don't believe much of what developers say.

They say July/August, I expect Feb 2013, maybe!

Of course, maybe I misunderstood you and you meant July/August 2013!

Doesn't matter since no one ever uses rain. Leagues shun rain, pubbies won't use it because people won't race in the rain. Wussies.

AGTC Season 2 will defintely be using rain. We at AGTC embrace the wetness
