F1 2010 New to F1 2010

Hello. I just bought this game and am getting more familiar with its ins and outs, but I get strange shadows in all camera views except when no part of the car shows on screen. They seem to be shadows of a cockpit or other part of the car and create a real distraction when driving.
Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this annoyance?

Would probably help more by giving some system details and the settings you use on the graphics in game.
