RaceDepartment present live coverage of the second race of the 2017 International GT Open weekend at the Estoril GT circuit in Portugal.

With a packed 22 car grid of GT machines headlining the International GT Open series and featuring a number of big name GT, Touring Car and Formula One drivers, teams and manufacturers, the International GT Open series is a developing endurance racing championship for GT3 specification cars running under BOP regulations. Notable for the inclusion of the rarely seen in Europe Lexus RC-F GT3 car alongside other notable machines from marques such as Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes and Bentley, the International GT Open 2017 season is an exotic mix of some of the best cars and drivers within the world of GT3 specification endurance racing.

Featuring a mixed PRO/AM field with mandatory driver swap, this season will see the likes of former Formula One driver Tonio Liuzzi taking the challenge to drivers of the class of Thomas Biaggi (2x FIA GT1 World Champion), Tiago Monteiro (Honda WTCC driver), Tom Onslow-Cole (former BTCC race winner), Antonio Felix da Costa (Red Bull Junior driver) and a whole field full of established motorsport names, the new season looks likely to produce some of the closest GT racing of the year ahead.

With the opening round held at the superb Estoril circuit in Portugal, the opening event of the year proved to be a lively affair and a fitting race to celebrate the first round of the new racing season. With the opening battle having taken part on Saturday afternoon, you can catch the full race reply below as preparations begin for race 2 on Sunday 31st April at 13:00 BST / GMT+1.

Love this track. The mod on AC is an absolute blast and one of the better track mods. I just enjoy driving all sorts of street cars on this track.

P.S. Garage 59's Alexander West is a wall street big boy... living the dream. He has a youtube channel with his name where he races his old F1 cars and toys. Worth a look.
