Is the DK1 Oculus Rift worth it?

Hey AC fans,

So I have a guy near me that wants to sell me an Oculus Rift DK1 for $200. Anyone experienced this yet? Is the experience worth it? I have 3 screens which I just recently got the 3rd and I'm blown away by my racing games now. Would an Oculus Rift be that much of a leap forward to warrant spending $200 on it? Lemme know guys and dolls. Later.

Yes and No......Had the Dk1 and now Dk2.
You will get an an amazing experience with DK1 but its not really usable as the resolution isn't great but you will be blown totally....
Thinking of getting triples for a while but cost and space is an issue.
DK2 is just about usable with the resolution , i would say wait till more support for the DK2 and get one towards the end of the year or try and get a DK1 cheaper.

It should be possible to get a DK2 for a bit more than that. They will become more available as we near CV1 release. DK2 is quite playable with a few titles now and the new Nvidia cards may bring some more improvements.

Nothing concrete but, it's speculated to be in second half of 2015. I've read all kinds of estimates but, they are all just wild guesses at this point. I think there was info from Oculus suggesting that pre-orders for CV1 will start early summer 2015.
