what on earth is a wii mote?
  3. The Wii-mote is the remote control of the new Wii-console... It had build in movement detectors etc... When you are playing a race game on the Wii, the wii-mote is used as a steering wheel... When you tilt the wii-mote left, the car turns left, etc...

It would be nice if that's possible... When I'm back home (curerntly at school), I'll do some research on it ;)
  4. SUPER LOL!!!!
  5. hehe I think it's not possible to drive with the wii controller.it is not sensitive enough. and it's very difficult to control it perfectly.

the fun about simulation imo is that you simulate driving.. my car has a steeringwheel, so i dont want another controller then a wheel.. maybe in 2100 we can use alternative controllers :)
  7. Even it would be a good simulation tool, I wouldn't use it. Unless of course you want to accidently throw your remote through you screen, as happened with a lot of WII players.

lol, are you serious? would love to see some crashed monitors :)
  9. Yes... the string wou are supposed to wrap around your hand, weren't tight enough. This caused people who played, for example, a tennis game to see the remote slip from their hand and go right into the TV.
  10. yeps Scyp is serious :) The Wii-mote is attached to a strap that you must put around your wrist. But when overreacting while golfing and such (must make the movement remember), the straps broke rather easily :)
Nintendo has currently released new wrist straps (bigger and stronger). The ones with a broken/old one, can replace them for free :)

  11. done some research:

It is possible to connect your wiimote to your PC and use it as a remote. The one thing you need is the GlovePIE software :)

"With GlovePIE you can now play any game, or control any software or MIDI devices, using whatever controls you want. This includes joysticks, gamepads, mice, keyboards, MIDI input devices, HMDs, Wiimotes, trackers, and of course, Virtual Reality Gloves!"

To download the GlovePIE software: http://carl.kenner.googlepages.com/GlovePIE029.zip (Legal ;) )
  12. looool whats wii-mote :D hehe ... yeh new replacement mote strap but who in the right mind on a racing or shotting game will swing the mote into the tv ? :p or monitor for pc :p ... but yes there have been accidents with stupid people :D
  13. Well, dunnee... if you are for example in a swordfighting game and you want to hit you emeny topdown than you make a move right in the direction of the TV... so if the wrist strap loosens or breaks you Wii-mote goes right into the screen.

  17. you know how people can get exited in gaming ;) :D
  18. yeh :D but u dont have and xbox controller and then deside to let go or throw it at you tv or window do u :p its basically the same if u think ...slippy hands , dry them .. use a bit of the old knolege :D hehe
  19. that's true :D Never play with sweaty hands ;) waaaaay to slippery and you might just get electrocuted :D LOL !
