Intersections

I'm not familiar with BTB, but one way to create cross-sections is working with single track-parts. You could build several track-sections in BTB and cut these together in sketchup.

Can't say that I know about those tools. What I always do working with 3dsMax is I have a seperate object I use for spline generation. The reason for this is that I can import it seperately and have a seperate geometry.ini for it including just that object and the sky. Also you can change resolution between the spline and visual mesh, spline needing less polygons to drive well vs the visual that needs more polygons to look good, especially in corners. Additionally, when the only objects in your scene are a spline object and the sky, automatic spline generation will almost always work, even with cross-sections :)

IIRC Mr Whippy was already working on an updated version of the existing TG track.. chances are you'll beat him to it but maybe he can tell you how he's done it on his :p

I usually do like that as well, but I guess the spline is using the same polygon twice in different directions in the intersection then? :)

hehe ok ;) so there is a top gear track for Racer floating around somewhere? :)
