I joint 2008. Didn't know what SimRacing was and when I googled it, RD was the first hit.

Under our first name RPM the site was first online on its own domain on 26 December 2006. Before this date we were on a free hosting solution.

In March 2008 we adopted the new name RaceDepartment..

We didn't merge with anyone. We were asked to setup the racing side of RaceSimCentral in 2007 and basically locked down our good old RPM site just for members of the original racing team.

When the RSC forum died and didn't come back online we moved back here with the new name and continued the racing for everybody, not just the original team members.

The RPM team is still alive though but we are a bit rusty, but will return in the V-GT series in 2015
