On the day the old vs new pack came out, i joined an online session featuring heavy rain with fog. On wets, i struggled through corners. Even when coasting, rear wheels would just snap and there would be no traction at all.
Same happened with a thunderstorm session we did with my friends. Gt1 clk gtr was my choice and the rear rain tires would just give up after 2 laps... minimal wear, optimum 90 temp, but no grip on slower nurburgring gp corners. Others could accelerate out of corners much sooner and neater.
On fresh tires, I could drive at a reasonable rain pace and keep the car on the limit as far as rain condition goes.
The rear just goes and there is no way to catch the slide.
