Happy Days :)

I just purchased the new D/L non StarForce version of GTL today.....

GTL and GPL were what got me started in sim racing and the advent of win7 64 bit saw the end of GTL (I tried all the tricks listed here and else where with no joy), but today it installed right away onto my W7 64 pc No Problem :)

Cant wait to jump in the RS Escort and Cappa! I owned 4 real RS Escorts including a rare as hell RS1800 BDA, Mexico MkI and RS2000 MKI in real life as well as an Uber rare RS3100 Capri (at the time thought to be one of 13 in existance)

For me this IS and always was the best period in motorsport, side draught webbers and dellorto carbs, an ignition system I could understand :p Propper mans suspension (and handling) driving the rear wheels!

Happy Days :)

Wow that is quite a collection there Brian! Really nice cars:good: And you haven't kept any of them?

I guess I'll see you in the Gentlemens Club then:good:

The Capri 3100 in game is right up there with the very fastest - probably only the Factory Pantera is quicker.

The Capri 2600 is one of my faves, and we're in the middle of a series with it right now

We've also got 3 different levels of Escort - the Default RS2000, the BDE RS1800 & the FVA RS1600. All are an absolute hoot :D

Don't forget the Lotus Cortina, 65 Mustang, 65 Falcon & GT40 as well (all are default in game vehicles) if you like your Fords...

Sadly no, they all got sold due to commitments of one sort or another :( The RS3100 was the last to go, I loved that car, but after my accident and disablement, the money issues caught up with me. I sold the car on the phone in 10 minutes after placing a call to the RS owners club, lets just say there was a scramble to buy it lol. I'm 43 in a few weeks, so you can see why I have such a love of Fords of this era. My first car was a an old 2.0litre V4 cappa GT XLR :) and my love of RWD Fords started that day :) RS Escorts were cheap as chips when I was 20 odd loool although the RS1800 (Genuine MkII with the standard flat front, not like the MkII RS 2000) was a bit of a find hehe. GTL just brings all this right back to me..... Like I said, Happy Days :)

Hi Stu :)

Looking forward to it, I'm pretty pushed time wise atm, but I want to start doing some club events soon. (I havent really driven anything since xmas due to my leg playing up again, but its well on the mend now, so I hope to be back in that Cappa soon :)

Cheers

Hi Guys :)

Sorry for my absence :(

I started SR Hardware earlier in the year, and, well, its been 12-16 hour days, 7 days a week most of the time! But enough is enough and I have to find some balance, so I hope to start appearing for a few club races real soon :) The league looks awesome, but I cant guarantee 100% attendance :( so this is a no no atm. Any events coming up suitable the slow and the ugly (me) looolll???
