DiRT 4 H-Shifter Question

Hi there.
Got the Logitech H-Shifter today for my G920. Will install on my rig on friday...
Anyone here who can tell me how it handles the 7-Gear Escort Cosworth?

Only way I see it - bind 7th gear to Reverse when using Cosworth, and Reverse to one of paddle shifters...
I have G27, but my H-gate is modded to sequential shifting, so I have no trouble with 7 or more gears...

Haralds method is about the only way to do it. Or tweak the gears so you never need 7th. I don't go fast enough to need it myself!

If he binds 7th gear to reverse, it`ll be a pig to get into, as he will have to push down on shifter to engage it to get into Reverse/7th gear

Unless he mod`s his H-shifter to remove the push down gate

Before my G29 broke

i bound 7th gear to the great big twirly button that you can push in on the bottom/lower right side of the wheel, on the far right hand side of the D-PAD

I would be curious, what he has assigned button wise for the hand brake (i use Left Paddle myself) ?

Thanks for your answers, I'll install the shifter to my rif right after work and do some testing...
Then I'll report what I did with the Escort

If you are in 6th, hitting the right paddle puts you into 7th. I found out by accident

Even if your gearbox is set to "Manual H" you can use the paddle? Do you use manual or automatic clutch? I'll try it...
Tried it on friday and I have to get used to the H-shifter as I'm driving a car with automatic gearbox for 5 years now... Used to accelerate with the right and brake with the left but when using the clutch I have to get used to it...could take a while

Yes, on that car it worked that way in DR and works in D4 also. You're in H manual 6th, want to go to 7th hit the upshift paddle (needs to be bound to paddle or you can use a button). It won't work if you are in 5th or other gears. Pretty smart way but they don't tell you lol
