This coming Thursday (25th June) GT Legends is running an event with a new format - a Team Event.
We will be having 2 races around Spa-Francorchamps, using the Lotus Elan and the Porsche 914-6.
The teams will consist of 2 drivers, and will be allocated at random, before the day of the event, so drivers signing up before the event takes place is obviously preferable. Drivers who, for whatever reason, arrive for the event but who are not signed up before the teams are created, will complete the rest of the teams in the order which they arrive.
Each team will be have individual skins for easy recognition during the race.
Drivers will alternate the cars in the two races, so everyone will have a chance to run both the Elan & the Porsche around the Belgian countryside.
Race 1 - Driver 1 = Elan, Driver 2 = Porsche
Race 2 - Driver 1 = Porsche, Driver 2 = Elan
In the event of an odd number of participants, one team will have 3 members allocated, and the best 2 scores per race will count in the event totals for that team. Driver 3 should mirror Driver 1 in car usage (Race 1= Elan, Race 2= Porsche).
This is a new format for the GT Legends world, but I am confident that it merits some exploration, and adds a different dimension to the event. I hope that some of you, knowing that the likelihood is of you being paired with an experienced Gentleman GTL-er, would take the plunge in this - a supportive and collaborative event.
