GSC Sync crash on start in dedicated server with no Graphics card

Discussion in 'Stock Car Extreme' started by Snarf Snarf, Feb 14, 2015.

  1. The GSC Sync.exe refuses to start, on a dedicated server with no graphics card installed on it.
The dedicated server.exe runs fine, but has no way to update, when the new patches are out.

There is not a steam tool for a dedicated server yet, Is there any way around this?
(putting a graphics card in the server is not an option)

  2. It seems really weird that the GSC Dedicated.exe does not seem to be bothered about having no graphics card to run a server. Yet the only way the snyc the files with GSC Sync.exe does seem to require a graphics card to run.

This is what happens every time i try to start it up on a dedicated server with no graphics card in it.

    Any help is greatly appreciated

Or a steam tool for dedicated server would sort this out also.

Install .NET framework 3.5 via add features in your Role Management Tool.

  4. Frank this sorted out the issue.

That doesn't work on a Windows server, only on client systems. So if you are on a normal Windows version you can just use the link :).

So if you are on Windows Server you go to your control panel, than to programs and features and than click on turn Windows features on or off followed by add feature. Than just click the .NET framework, since it is preinstalled but not activated.
