Grid size

Discussion in 'rFactor 2' started by ls13coco, Mar 22, 2015.

  1. Am I missing something? I've seen images of dozens and dozens of cars on track, yet 29 is the max for any track.
I feel like I'm missing something obvious, but I couldn't find info after a few times of searching.

  2. Of course I didn't type the magic sentence, it had to be "rfactor 2 increase grid size" etc
    Lol, cheers.
I am having an issue though, whenever I try to replace the original file I am told this new file is broken.

Now with a "incomplete" file, I have no cars or tracks to choose from in the game.
Eghh so much fun to add more ai.

  4. I found that one earlier as well, still no luck.
Re-downloaded RF2 so I now have a backup of the original mas file at least but I've gotten file broken time after time with either of these.
I've been researching how to edit the files myself all day to no success, I don't get what the big issue is here lol

    EDIT:

Wow, what a slap in the face.
I finally decided to try downloading the file with IE (which I never use) instead of Firefox, voila.
I've spent hours today trying to figure this out!
    I hate everything.

Thanks again for the help man!!

  5. No worries and glad to see it sorted., I've heard FF has many problems with some sites as does Chrome with others, not sure what is going on behind the scenes, but it seems multiple browsers are still a requirement.

  6. Tried this. Result is that my mirrors are black... Otherwise its a fun thing to race against 64 opponents...

  7. It you use the SLS safety car this is the reason got the black mirrors.

Is there a way to see how many pitboxes a track has?

  10. Yep, have a look in your data\installed\locations directory and find the AIW file in one of the MAS files.
