well at least we're tier 6.. guess that's the only positive, but I'm still baffled at how lucky Lotus is getting with results. If this goes on for another season I'm f***ed.

I might be willing to give away James Hunt, if you're interested in him hit me up with a price. A trade for a top driver is always welcome too :p (in which case I pay, obviously)

Emerson Fittipaldi is born in Sao Paulo (BRA) in 1946. He began his Formula One career in 1970, on the Colin Chapman's cars and won his first F1 Drivers' World Championship in 1973, at the age of 27 years old, which made him the youngest F1 Champion of all time.
He tried then to catch another title with BRM and has fiercely fought the swedish genius Ronnie Peterson for 3 seasons. However, he always failed and has begun to become undesirable for the Formula One top teams.
Too expensive, older, far from the pace he used to have, he signed a 3 years contract with the back-marker team March and has become quite anonymous.
In 1980, the german manager of the newly come A.T.S Team, Ben Utzer (who beat him with Surtees and Cevert in 1975) made everything to sign him. One win for his first year, the old Fittipaldi seemed to be back.
Two years later, at the age of 37, he won his second and last title after an amazing season and offered their first ever drivers' championship to ATS (second for Utzer).
With 2 WC, being also 5 times Second in the season Standings, 26 victories (equals Jackie Stewart) and 66 podiums (new record), Emerson Fittipaldi has had the greatest Formula One career of all time.
For everything you did.. Thank you Emmo !

Never should've let him go, that was the start of my downfall.

wait but.. if he was 27 at the end of 1973 how was he all of a sudden 37 at the end of 1982?

He should have been 26 at the end of the 1973 season cos his birthday is in december and the season ended on october, and then 35 at the end of 1982, this season ended in september. Or at least 27-36, if you look at only the year :coffee:
