Having spent most of 2012 and part of 2013 in the North (Bremen, Bremerhaven), I hope the flood crest will not be as violent. Keeping my fingers crossed for my friends as well.

How high is the water normally there in the picture?

Edit: considering the trees there....should there even be water there? :)

I hope no one is hurt. Man, global warming is really becoming an issue.

I hate that I live with a bunch of climate change-denying morons who listen to the propaganda of fossil fuel companies.

While i agree we damage the nature of the world, it is not so reasonable to connect every single disaster with global warming. We had such floods, bizarre seasons in the course of history too.

2002 was pretty bad too, this time however it is worse.
